Winter is coming
December 1st 2011
This year we have fulfilled a big Christmas wish from our customers and opened a pop up shop in central Copenhagen.

All our glittery snowmen, soft woollen angels, embroidered ornaments and unique children’s clothing are on a winter wonder display like nothing you have ever seen.

Meet us from today and until the 31st of December in Store Regnegade 12, 1110 Copenhagen K.

Sweden rules
October 14th 2011
You can’t beat the Swedes. They always make cooler clothes, better pop music and have an inch longer legs.

Monki is a great example. They are about to open their 10th shop in Denmark with understated, almost tailored and über cool clothes.

And it cost next to nothing, so there no excuse for not looking up to date.

August 11th 2011
The French children magazine Doolittle was featured at the CPH Kids fashion fair.

With only 7 back issues the magazine already has a large fan base around the world. Their motto is: “Real children”

We love it because of their easy going approach to the child’s universe and for not being to artsy fartsy. No one needs a fashion degree to enjoy the delicate pictures and sweet stories.

The Gold button
August 3rd 2011
The classic Danish woman’s magazine, Alt for Damerne (“Everything for the Ladies”) held their annual award show The Gold button today. This year’s winners were;

The Gold button: Inwear´s Lene Borggaard, The Silver thread: Nué Notes

I am always amazed how they manage to publish a new magazine each week, week after week for the past 65 years… That is a great amount of magazines filled with all kind of fabulous stuff, divine accessories and true stories for real ladies.

Denim Denim Denim
July 25th 2011
I just got a gift from my mother in law. “American Denim – a new folk art”

If you ever see this book in a second hand book store or on a flea market, just buy it right away. It is filled with amazing pictures of customised jeans jazzed up with elaborate embroidery, cut outs, applications, buttons and sequins

It seems that having a mother in law isn’t bad at all.

Knitted dreams
July 19th 2011
I just visited this little exhibition featuring a young knitwear designer from the Faroe islands. Her new designs are inspired by an until now unknown old lady whom had knitted sweaters and clothes all her life, but had a hidden treasury of amazing, colourful and artistic wall blankets. See this exhibition and experience an unique display of knitwear as an art form.

The exhibition runs until August 23rd at "Bryggen" Strandgade 91, 1401 Copenhagen K. The entrance is only 30 Danish kr., so you might afford a visit to Noma, the worlds best restaurant, which is the next door neighbour to the exhibition.

Bye Bye Black Cat
June 30th 2011
Strangely enough the last day in the shop felt as big and exiting as the first day 10 years ago.

It has been a journey like nothing else filled with unique children’s wear, cute accessories, lots of amazing events and the sweetest customers ever… I’m looking forward to spending all my time making the web shop an exciting playground for the Crème de la Crème à la Edgar brand.

Celebration sale
May 26th 2011
Do you like Birthdays?

We do!

And to celebrate Crème de la Crème à la Edgars 10th Birthday the sale begins Friday the 26 of May with a 40 % discount on almost anything you can wish for... The show starts at exactly 11.00 in both the store and the webshop.

Shoe shopping
March 9th 2011
When decorating a window sometimes a little gets you far. A hundred simple white shoe boxes, a pair of long plastic mannequin legs and some distinguished shoe labels and you have a recipe for success. In Paris I always go to the Le Bon Marche department store to be inspired by their always amazing displays. Now that’s what you can call window shopping.

At home if windows aren’t enough I go to Holly Golightly for shoe shopping.

My Diary
Marts 4th 2011
I am not a diary writing kind of person.

Instead I collect pictures, hang tags, business cards, fabric samples, drawings and other pieces of memories… They are all scattered on my pin-up board, so I can enjoy them over and over again.

To some things aren’t important and they are so free of possessions, but I admit to me things are important and I cherish and keep them.

February 25th 2011
Each season at the fashion fairs I fall absolutely in love with the Heimstone collections. Their French cool hip look, played down sexiness and fabrics to die for. I try to convince myself each time that I need a new brand in the shop, even though our speciality is children’s wear and lifestyle products.

Luckily now I can fulfil my addiction at Normann Copenhagen’s flagship store, were they stock the brand.

Tsumori Chisato
February 19th 2011
I just visited Paris and the peak was Tsumori Chisatos fabulous store. Each month a new artist decorates the entrance of the shop and creates a unique atmosphere for you to explore. That should give you an excuse to visit Paris at least every month.

You can get a touch of Tsumori Chisato in the Petit Bateau one-piece jersey suit, bib or cat toy she designed for them in our web shop.

Butterfly tee
February 15th 2011
Buy the spring issue of Kids Wear Magazine in our shop or web shop. They have partnered up with Loppa to make this charity t-shirt which benefits the Butterfly organisation. The revenue goes to street children in New Delhi to improve their chance of survival and their opportunities in life. Buy a tee before your neighbour.

Bubble emergency phone
February 3th 2011
I visited Bubble in London and thought it was a small cute fair.

My favourite experience was the information telephone. Just hanging there, no excess words or instruction manual. Just a phone and a word; Information.

How cool would it be to have one of those at home?

La Glace Rocks
January 28th 2011
Real ladies don’t talk about their age, but a few days ago when I visited a friend’s afternoon tea birthday celebration, I had two peaks;

The first was off course the fabulous shocking pink La Glace cake with shoe and guitar decorations, but the best was almost to realise that I still had friends that were 25 years old…
