Everyone is on Facebook January 25th 2011 Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, Twitter and what ever… It is impossible to keep up with all the networking, word spreading and buzzing available online. When we finally were on Facebook, we were reluctant to promote it any further. But only a few days later, Berlingske Tidende, one of the biggest Danish newspapers had a national campaign advertising that they were on Facebook… If theyre on, we are on. Tekinoktay January 21st 2011 I could use hours just browsing around Evren Tekinoktay´s finest lingerie store in Silkegade. The vintage brooches and hair pieces, the thin silk camisoles and the interior makes my mind wander and imagine boudoirs from past times with Hollywood actresses with velvet hair in soft curls, powdered faces and eyes with a look that men would die for. In the shop we sell Evren´s art book; Black Egg, which is another look into her creative and colourful mind. |

Served on a silver tray January 18th 2011 Monday morning there were still traces of the day after the day hangover after hanging out at the Danish national radio award show P3 Gold which was a great party... My colleague surprised me with this well served cold water and pain killers with a twist. Suddenly Monday seemed a bit more fun. |

New Year resolutions January 5th 2011 My resolution this year is to do things when they’re offered. Last summer on my holiday we were in Vig and my brother in law and son went velcro jumping. They were put in a giant velcro suit and could run towards the wall and hang on it. I have been regretting not jumping with them all year. So no more regrets, just jump into whatever comes your way… |

Laduree Paris January 3rd 2011 The most heavenly dish on earth is the macaroons from Laduree. On New Years day there is a waiting line from the shop on the corner of Rue Jacob & Rue Bonaparte and all the way to the Eiffel tower. Almost… My favourite is the box of pale rose macaroons with a sweet taste of raspberry. Make sure to visit Laduree if you’re in Paris, London or Tokyo |

Knitting ladies December 20th 2010 I’m still thinking about the talented little old ladies I met at the Can christmas exhibition. They’re called “Kaffeslabbaras” and meet up once a week to sip many cups of coffee and eat homemade cake. They are still puzzled that they are suddenly in style and their knitting crafts are fashionable again. Don’t say yes to everything. December 4th 2010 My sister in law just organized some of the stuff in her house. Her kids are teens now and she asked if I wanted to inherit some old Barbie dolls. Without thinking for even a second I said yes and was already tied up in a dream about playing with my daughter with these dolls and their vintage clothes and accessories. This was what I got; Six naked Barbie’s, one naked Ken and an equally undressed child. Where was all the 70´ies glamour dresses, high heels and little purses? Instead I got eight beaten up plastic dolls with all their hair cut in peculiar hairdos. I am sure at least one of the children is going to be a hairdresser in that family. |

Pacifier strings December 2th 2010 We are introducing some new clips for our pacifier strings. Blue birds, mint green butterflies, pink apples & mauve elephants. They are all sewn to a string of liberty or beautiful vintage fabric and are now available in the shop. We will also upload them to the web shop as soon as possible. |

Christmas in a Can November 21th 2010 I´m excited to go to Stine Ålykkes gallery for Christmas celebration on the 1 of December. I have always been a huge fan of her work and now when she has a corner in the gallery reserved for children´s wear, toys and accessories I can even call it work related when I visit… The picture is from her summer reception. This time around there will no cast on the arm. I hope… |

Simple food November 19th 2010 Sometimes when you ask for something, you just get what you asked for. …and nothing more. This was what my daughter got at a restaurant in Florence, when she asked for chicken. At Crème de la Crème à la Edgar we are a bit different. You always get more with more and some extra more and then maybe a cherry on top to finish it off. |

Hooray! October 4th 2010 Hooray! Our new web shop is open! We have been running around like crazy, taking tons of pictures and enhancing them, ironing every little piece of clothes so it looks totally sharp, communicating with our excellent graphic and programming team, counting everything and then counting it once again just to be sure. Quartier 206 Department store September 29th 2010 I have decided to make this store my retiring home, when I grow old. Here I can buy bleach for the grey in my hair, drink my afternoon tee with a giant piece of cake and flirt relentlessly with all the young male waiters. I can equip my wardrobe with an Oscar de la Renta two piece suit or a Roberto Cavalli shimmering evening dress. I started a bit in advance, since it is impossible to wait for all this happiness. |

HOT OR NOT September 27th 2010 Walt Disney, damn it’s Hot. You can’t go on this season without at least one item displaying any of the Disney characters. I bought this vintage sock in an old fashioned tie and shirts shop in Florence. Actually I bought their entire stock and used for gifts. Hooked on Dolphin Marshmallows September 20th 2010 The news today is that I can finally buy my favourite sugar candy without worrying who touched the one next to mine. The pleasure of the soft foamy candy was earlier disturbed by all my thoughts on the big box with row after row of Flippers standing on the counter of all convenient stores. Why do they always put it on the counter and were is the lit??? Now I can calm my paranoia when it is wrapped as a single piece. |

Bubble – Kids Trade Show September 26th 2010 I find it most inspiring to visit different fashion fairs, but my favourite is the little trade show Bubble in New York. Sadly they have cancelled the March edition, but to quote Leonard Cohen, first we took Manhattan, and then we take Berlin, or in this case Bubble in London. |
